Jack story on CNN

So I saw the story about Jack on Paula Zahn's CNN show last night and thought it was put together pretty well. What I found funny about the whole thing was the Jack voiceover guy Howard Cogan wanting to be in the dark when they talked to him so that no one could see what he looked like...are you kidding me? The format is the fad, not him...he just lends his voice to it. Does he think that by showing everyone what he looks like that he'll start having groupies hanging outside his house along with members of the paparazzi.

Keeps an air of mystery about the whole thing ... since many US versions of the format don't use jocks ... just him. I think it makes sense for the image of the format -- not an ego thing. People didn't claim John Forstyhe had a huge ego when he was never shown on Charlie's Angels....!!?

Jack article also in Time magazine

Can't answer for Joel Stein, but Jack has got to be the most LAZY excuse for formatted-music radio ever. It's so auto-pilot lazy it's insulting.
