Jack Sullivan WESU 88.1 FM

Hi ! Thank you for this opportunity to introduce myself on Radio Discussions :) I have been a Radio Junkie all my life. Growing up in the Tri-State area I tuned in to many of the New York City AM Stations while growing up Southern Connecticut. I recall fondly those legendary voices like Harry Harrison, Ron Lundy, and Dan Ingram. The old description of Radio being "Theater of the Mind" truly resonated with me and I would find that a fast-paced voice, great music and some timely sound effects could transition my mind just about anywhere, painting pictures and scenes of places I have never been. Even the promos and advertising spots were interesting to listen to. Well, here I am about sixty years later attempting to bring those golden AM radio years of the 1960's back on my own program broadcasting on WESU 88.1 FM in Middletown Connecticut. The station is 6,000 watts and covers a Hartford, Middlesex and New London counties as well as southern Massachusetts. I take 50'S, 60'S AND 70'S requests LIVE on the Air like my boyhood idols did on WABC, WINS, and of course WNBC. It's audience participation that makes my show successful and I feel like the guy who gets to pull it all together and enjoy myself for a couple of hours. The Jack Sullivan Show broadcasts live every Tuesday night beginning at 8 PM on WESU 88.1 FM in Connecticut and online at www,wesufm.org I love talking to listeners on the phone and playing their requests. My number in WESU's Studio A is 860-685-7700. I would love to hear from anyone on the Forum during the show. You can also email me at [email protected]

Thank you again to the Admins of this site to offer a new member to introduce himself. :) Your Buddy Jack
