jack vs. Chum 104.5

ON a tuesday, RECORD Jack from 3-5pm.

Next Tuesday, RECORD chum 104.5 fm

(dont listen, but actually record each station, for two hours).

-Yes, chum interacts more.
Providing, info-entertainment, intertwined with news, sports,weather..
an "afternoon-morning show"

-Jack does not..or at least hasnt been.

However, Jack 'airs' listener feedback..versus CHUM-FM has
the talent work, or sometimes, a contest or a very quick shout out..
by an listener..
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I intentionally selected these two very different toronto based stations..
not for the music but the approach of each station respectively.

lets start w/ 92.5fm
plays the music..nothing 'fancy' or creative, just the 'bread & butter'

chum-fm, gave you everything..possibly too much..an abundance of
stimuli..this may work one day...and be helpful, esp. traffic,
or weather, sports scores..catching the report, and being informed
but..by 4:30 pm, you have heard it all..

Advantage Jack.

However, some listeners will tune in again, to hear (again) the
leafs victory, and the story that went along with it.

Advantage chum.

-
Today, in fact, i listened when a caller on chum(of course on 104.5 fm -
this concept is unheard of on jack) had a chance to beat the bank,
stopped at $1,100...but could have made it to the $10,000 vault.
This stuck with me; Advantage CHUM...i am still very easily remembering
the entire on air break..*HOWEVER,

the risk of that..say if a quick break, had some one dedicate a song
to his wife (which is sweet/cooL : ) but the guy..just well sounded..
'weak' /too much of a whipped hubby; wus, or simply making a general
request following the lead of the talent, but had a squeeky voice..
-
the song that follows..{ie: "hollaback" ) ...well, the next week
and a half u hear that song..reminds ~the avg. listener~ of that
annoying guy that was on chum..... [x]Advantage Jack..this is
the reason, i believe, JACK FM...is being jukebox 92.5

Play it safe..just as long as you play it...and keep playing it.

I noticed that it is quite easy to reach CHUM FM by phone..they pick up on the 3rd or 4th ring.

it is hard to call radio stations in Toronto...I think 640 and 1010 are easy to get through to also.

phones...

most stations ( esp. chum are easy )...

edge 102 & z103..is inconsistent, u can either get thru, or no one ever answers..not the overnites..i mean during the day/evenings..

edge 102/99.9 overnites, is usually pretty easy..

weird, 95.3,(old spirit 91.7) and ontario stations w/ toll free lines..
wont work in the states..even *very close* to the border..

-what else is funny, some stations...*Never(Rarely)* give out the
ph numbers... or, you listen *soo much* you just know them..(97.3/98.1)

the worst:
flow, 93.5 fm - i have only tried to call on a few occassions
due to lack of "product knowledge" of who to call, when, and
what number...
