To be honest, Randy, I'm beginning to think you don't know what you're talking about and are just trying to promote FOX25 and bash CBS4 as much as possible.
Lisa IS NOT locked into a long term contract. In fact, it's been widely reported that her contract is up soon. Also, the station obviously DOES NOT want to move Bob Lobel. Merenghi is clearly a big fan of his, and since he is one of the few "names" left at the station, it flies in the face of sound logic to say they want to move him. As far as Ed goes, I agree with you there. They desperately want Mish Michaels to take that role, but she wont do it. As far as Josh Binswanger- you say that they signed him to a long and expensive contract. I don't kow any facts here, but I find it hard to believe that Ed Goldman would have signed Binswanger to a long term deal since he was such unproven talent. It seems more reasonable that they signed him to a 1 or 2 year deal. Do you know any of the contract specifics? If so, please share.
Also, I understand the daily ratings most likely still suck for CBS4. That's not the point. You can't change anchors and expect the overnight ratings to change drastically overnight. It will take months for viewers to even realize that Jack is back, and will also take a heavy promotional campaign. All I am saying is that the quality and watchability of the station's newscasts have drastically improved with Williams, and good judgement says that so should the ratings... eventually.
