It's very tough to blend "oldies" with a lot of '80s music. The same is true of moving "Classic Rock" into the late '80s and '90s. The musical styles are very different, and the audiences are a generation apart. I'm not saying that it won't happen, but you run the danger of being neither fish nor fowl, or alienating both audiences often.
