The overall rating is down in Chicago as well. Only Los Angeles saw an overall increase. I don't know about other markets yet. But according to the Feder Column in the Chicago Sun Times, while WJMK went dow overall, his column stated that the targeted demo is up. But will the targeted demo be listening to the station long enough to keep the station around? I hope not, based on the way it has snotty attitude to me. But we have to give it a few books to find out. While I am in the Jack demo, I don't like it. I like the Jack clone Nine FM the best. It doesn't have the same attitude and does have personalities for mornings, middays, & afternoons. I still wish for evening personalities, but Newsweb decided to eliminate that daypart. Nine FM also takes requests, which Jack doesn't.

Dave:

Your making some good comparisons and speaking your mind
here and it's nice to see what you think. Any way you or
someone would be willing to post perhaps an hour of Jack
vs. Nine's music for us to see where you're coming from?
The rest of the differences (requests, on-airs, etc.) is
an obvious difference. Which station musically do you
prefer?

If you ask me, it seems that Nine's playlist is a little more "alternative"/"AAA" compared to Jack/Chicago... here's a comparison.
