jackson's ch. 53 and 49

A while back channel 49 has dropped the America One network and replaced it with Univision, which used to be on channel 53. I haven't been able to get anything but snow on channel 53 lately, is it still on the air and if so, what's on it? Also what about the channel 49 simulcast that was on channel 8, which I can't pick up, is that still on the air? and whats on it? By the way, why in the Sam Hill was channel 53 simulcasting a univision affiliate from Oklahoma City instead of just carrying the network?
 
Maybe Channel 53 was co-owned by the same company or simply a programming agreement.

Or maybe it was picked up off the satelitte..
