Jacksonville and the 105 FMs

The FCC just approved a change in the table of allotments for 105.3 WJSJ Fernandina Beach to Yulee in the Jacksonville market. The transmitter for simlucast partner 105.5 WSJF will move south in process while 105.3 will a few miles move to the northeast. These moves according to recnet.com maps will pull 105.3 & 105.5 away from the heart of Jacksonville. 105.3 would add 60dbu coverage to the Kings Bay area of southeast Georga which will help add a net of 22,955 persons.

I say that 105.7 WHJX Baldwin must be able to increase their Jacksonville coverage due to these change. I guess more details will be coming.

Interesting to see what will happen here, given that the 105.3/105.5 combo is hard to pick up in some parts of the Jacksonville metro anyway.

It should benefit 105.7, which while less than ideal in its own right, is Tama's best signal here.
