Jacksonville, come January?

What will the Jacksonville radio market look like come January 2011? This is just for speculation, but what formats will still be alive and which ones will probably change. Do you think CC will still have Magic 107 and Kiss FM? What station will have Lex and Terry and what format would that station be? Do you think there could be a GEN X station here by that time? Thanks for reading.

It's hard to say right now how the Jacksonville radio scene will look come January 2011. I'm sure we may see at least one more adjustment by January, but it's difficult to say right now which station may be effected.

Will CC still have Magic 107??? It JUST launched 3 weeks ago, why wouldn't they? As for KISS-FM... I would say safe as well. PPM might be very good to KISS.... people with a diary may THINK they listen to the APE more, when really it might be KISS.

Personally, I think Magic may fail due to the over abundance of that kind of music available here, PPM will really let us know when the first books come out. I will go out on a limb and say that it will not last a year here, but if it does, I will eat that crow when the time comes. PPM may show KISS some love but what if it doesn't and KISS is given the death penalty? What format could Clear Channel bring in that would generate ratings, money, etc? The same question applies to 107.3 if it were to fail. Do you think Jacksonville could handle a "Gen X" radio format here, something like Louisville has "www.genxlouisville.com"? I listen to the stream and it sounds like something that would be a ratings winner here, but that's just my opinion. The intent of my first post was to generate some speculation (which is fun, just like football experts do, I use the word expert loosely)
Well?

How about a 'normal' classic rock station for Jax (and for Gainesville for that matter )with maybe a little more than usual Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker,of course Skynyrd and how about Hendrix, Cream, Traffic ?

You know -good music the way radio once was.
