Jacobs vs. Broomhead

What is going on? I've been out of town for about 10 days. When I left, Broomhead was filling in for Jacobs. Today, same thing.

I find Broomhead a little more easy to listen to. He doesn't rant and rave over the same thing, and he doesn't repeat himself 3 times like Jacobs. Therefore, he has more to say. I think I would listen more to him than I do Jacobs.

Note to self: reinstate embargo 5-8am for KFYI Phoenix, KNIX HD2 Phoenix,
also confirm embargo 4-7pm still in place. No embargo 8-until-Rush because I
enjoy the lame sound effects. ;D

Sad thing is, neither are exactly towers of intellect. Bruce is a sports jock doing a schtick, (angry ranting white guy) Broomhead is a bit more sincere but he tends to make lots of mistakes in logic and really doesn't have much of a grasp of history and world politics beyond "illegal aliens, bad, Sheriff Joe, good).

I'm not asking for William F. Buckley in the morning, but how about a host with a high level of education and some experience in the real world?

My morning drive goes to Bickley and MJ for sports, I'm not gonna learn much, but its fairly enjoyable, and considering the alternatives (Bruce, Mike Gallagher(bleah!), Doug and Wolf(duh!), Imus(zzz) and whatever KTAR does that early, its clear that there really ain't much to listen to in the mornings in this town.

I don't mind 960 so much. Hewitt, and Dennis Miller are pretty sharp. Prager has good foreign affairs people on.
