Congratulations to Jag. I wish him the best of Luck

Is he any good? I live in Detroit and we haven't had that great of a night guy since 2008. Like how is his personality(Like what does he talk about) The guy we had back in 2006-2008 was Big boy and aimed his show towards woman 18-30 basically. So ya his show was more of something a 10 year old shouldn't be listening to.

He's the bomb diggity. Witty, and he has heart.

On a Top 40 station? Get out of town! No way!

Will-

No I am for real. He was really really funny but most innappropiate. He can be heard on 92.3 NOW in New york 7-11 PM weekdays now. Im not sure if he has changed because I dont listen much. But he is known as chunky.

I Miss my K-Rock! thank god for q-104.3 HD2 that station kicks some serious ***

This is why this message board is a joke.

God forbid anybody else jump into this thread and say "good luck" to Jag. Instead, it turns into a reminder that Top 40 stations target women 18-34 and the 1,000th post from Jamie about K-Rock.

Let's complete the trifecta of suck and have somebody post the "you know you're in radio if..." jokes again. OMG YOU ANSWER YOUR HOME PHONE WITH THE CALL LETTERS HA HA HA THAT'S SO FRESH

Will: While I do not agree with 100% of your posts, (I find you WAY too hard on Burlington radio, sorry) I certainly can't agree with you more on this one. JAG is a great talent on a consistently great sounding station that has produced much great talent along the way. Say what you you will, but Ben Hamilton develops and fosters great talent and XXX remains one of the best sounding and imaged stations anywhere, in any market. And YES, I have worked with Ben so I could tell a few stories of my own... who cares. The man has a record that all of the Upper Valley has-beens, wanna-be's and never-were's can only dream of.This is a board that will entertain page-after-page of Arnold Poon's mindless dribble and puke attacks on a market that most people couldn't find on a map, Old Port Wino's waste of electrons, and Jamie's well-intentioned but thread-hijacking postings of a young man that should probably give serious thought to getting out of the Northeast if he wants to make a living in this business, but would never think of congratulating a talent like Jag who has progressed to a major market on skill, talent, and proven ability. Isn't that what most of us in the business aspire to?.... Let the mindless dribble responses begin.

I post honest assessments of what I like and don't like.

Does he? I put in four years there. Guy did nothing in helping me become an on-air personality. Complete waste of time working there.

Hey, I can listen to Z100 and transcribe their sweepers and barter for their image parts as well.

And YES, I have worked with Ben so I could tell a few stories of my own... who cares.

I care. Share some. We need something fresh around here.

Will-----I have met ben several times but never worked for him. I have known others who have. I've been a longtime observer of his work with 95TripleX. People tell me he's an opinionated guy who is demanding and wants his station to sound a certain way. From what I have read, you are also a very opinionated guy who likes things a certain way. Normally, when two people so similar come together they clash and that's what happenesd between you and him. Problem was---when that happened---he was the boss and you were the employee. That's a big reason for your opinion of him. Look, like it or not, Ben has kept TripleX viable and very competitive. Has he ripped off other CHR's? Sure...but who doesn't in this day and age? Jag was a good jock and made one helluva great move in going to Detroit. Kudos to him and kudos to Ben for helping him be a better jock. Ben has obviously decided to stay in Burlington and that's fine. For some people lifestyle is a priority. You decided to go back to the Boston area and that's fine too. I honestly think you're a better person than you sometimes come off being when you keep taking cheap shots at Ben. You do what you do and let him do what he does. Live and let live, Will.

A couple of things:

Congrats to Jag! Hard working guy and really good jock. I have never been so happy for someone to go to Detroit. (tough place)

Will is without a doubt the best poster on this board. Damn funny too...., Will get back into radio. We miss you...

It's been a while...let's take a crack at this one:

It's true. It really is. He liked to tell me things like "I'm smarter than you" and "you don't know ****."

That's a big reason for your opinion of him. Look, like it or not, Ben has kept TripleX viable and very competitive. Has he ripped off other CHR's? Sure...but who doesn't in this day and age?

"Everybody else does it" always makes me smile. I mean, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but let's please stop anointing radio people who do it as masters of their profession.

Ben has obviously decided to stay in Burlington and that's fine. For some people lifestyle is a priority. You decided to go back to the Boston area and that's fine too.

Back to the Boston area? I'm from the New North End, man. Born in Fletcher Allen, went to BHS. I'm as dyed-in-the-wool 802 as it gets.

I honestly think you're a better person than you sometimes come off being when you keep taking cheap shots at Ben. You do what you do and let him do what he does. Live and let live, Will.

That's fair. No need to go after people when I can just trash the station...which I will continue to do.
