Jake Sommers

Excellent news. Congratulations, Jake. Our loss is Minneapolis' gain. Best of luck to you and your wife and children!

I know this is a town to town and up and down the dial business. But Columbus is losing a great talent in Jake.

Too bad he's had to uproot his family.

Good luck Jake.

:'(

Congratulations and good luck to you Jake! It was sad to hear you no longer at the River and then again back on-air at Sunny 95. From my interactions with you Jake, you were an amazing, Godly man who is embarking on the next journey of your life. Wonder if you're DJ business will move along with you as well. If so, I was lucky to have you personally DJ my wedding reception and the personal touch and time you spent into making things go just right. Guess I'll be adding a new website on my interact dial to listen to. You will be missed in the Columbus area.

I'm trying to get a mental image of Jake tossing his beret in the air while singing, "You might just make it afer allllllll..." (OK, older members of the board will get that) I'm just not seeing it. Seriously, Jake I wish you nothing but the best our Father has to offer. His hand is on you, my friend. It's a privilege to be your brother in Christ.

And if the managers last name is Grant.

Jake, it's been great having you on-air here. You'll be missed.

A correction: Jake doesn't have a beret as to my knowledge. However, he does have a beanie with a propeller on top, worn only in management meetings as an "intimidation" factor.

Dan, we must go get thrown out of Ryan's for being so boisterous that rude people can't talk on their cell phones again. Best...story...ever...

Hey YMCA Dan,

I have some more furniture and appliances for you. Can you e-mail me at [email protected]?

All,

Thanks for the kind words. We are excited about where God is taking us! KTIS is a great station and Jason Sharp is
amazing PD.

Jake

TV,

Yep. Hoping to corner the market there. Thanks for the prayers, God has been so good to me. 6 1/2 years off the crack on the 16th of September!Jesus Christ still does miracles 2000 years later!

Jake

Hey Mee,

Yep, off to the Twin Cities at work at KTIS. Last time I was there it was a mess. Going back in much better shape now.

Thanks for caring!

Jake

I will let some of my friends, who live there to tune you in.

We will miss hearing your voice in Columbus.

Best wishes and God Bless you and Dana and your family :-0

We actually talked about that...I don't think so. I'll still be able to tell my story and I hope it will have the same impact as it did here.
Thanks Vince for the kind words. My 1st day on the air will be the 29th. I start in production and imaging on Monday the 15th.

So much to do.

You know, when you're told " you are good, you will finds something else". It's not just losing a job. It's about uprooting a family and a 12 year old that is just now getting some friends because she is shy. It's trying to figure out how you are going to keep paying your mortgage in Pataskala and not lose your home. It's a 5 year old asking "daddy, why do we have to leave our house"?

It's a wife that stands beside you even when you KNOW that you were good enough for that job in St. Louis and didn't get it.

It's the same wife that supports you, and puts up with your throwing a tantrum because you don't want to break down and cry.

It's about a 17 year old son in Cleveland that will now get to see his dad even less.

Jake

I know what that one is like. Publishers Clearing House keeps telling me I'm about to win, and all my troubles will be over, yet the mortgage company is more of a "show me the money" kind of business, so I'm learning how to compress the contents of a 2000 Sq ft home in to a 1000 Sq ft apartment real quick. Too many homes for sale in my neighborhood, it's like a plague I feel lucky to have found an apartment that will take pets.

I'm praying that your move and transition to your new job goes smoothly. I'll be listening for you on KTIS. :)

The toughest part of giving your life to God is the unknown.
Jake, you have overcome so much over the years.
God knows what is best for us. (We don't always like it)
Your witness as a transformed believer in JESUS CHRIST will see you through.
Remember...With God ALL things are possible.
Trust in Me sayeth the Lord and I will bring you peace.

Know that there are many who have not found this site that are praying for you.

God bless
