JAMIE ALREADY LEAVING THE K-VET MORNING SHOW?

Supposedly wrestling with being a mom instead of being on the air. Realistic dilemma, to be sure. But, one cannot help but wonder if her job has already gone tilt. Either SHE has decided the job just isn't worth it, or, the CC budget has been stretched too far again. Decision supposedly comes Monday (8/29). All of this after an "extensive talent search" some months ago. Kinda looks like CC management is "flying-by-the-seat-of-it's pants," doesn't it?
 
Why will they be searching for another when they hardly talk at all?

I believe your scenario is correct, CT. They probably would have moved on Bob already but for the cost of letting him go.
 
The most talented individual who auditioned for that gig... got it.

It's too bad that she will, most likely, be leaving. However, I can understand her dilemma and do not fault her for having a change of heart.

For raw talent to develop, Jay, that person must have sufficient airtime. Under your present music-intensive format with two other morning show members, her chances of refining that raw talent are about as good as you being named OPS DIR of the year.

We'll see. If K-VET returns to a top five station (a status it enjoyed for many years long before you took over), then you will be given the credit. If it continues to languish where it is now, you will simply be looked upon as another OM who tried to game the PPM and failed miserably.
 
I dont know who the clown is that calls the shots at KVET but they have done an excellent job in totally ruining the station.

The "clown" is OM Jay Shannon (dallasboyz on this thread). He thinks he knows it all. He's in for a rude awakening when he finds out he doesn't.

He's probably not. If the KVET OM has time to mess around with people's heads on this board, he's not doing his job.

Yeah they did a excellent job in turning in KVET from one of the best country stations around to the worse stations around.
 
With the screen name of dallasboyz I thought it was (or is) Mike Taylor, who's the biggest Dallas homer in the free world, and who likes to pretend that he's really urban and on top of things.....
