Jamie G

Haven't seen a report by Jamie yet, but is this the way of future local newscasts in small and medium markets for TV? (much the same as we saw voice tracking on radio delete local jocks and local programming)?

I think this newscast still needs a lot of tweaking to be up to par. Maybe it's cheaper for 58 to do it this way, but they could come up with local anchors just as good.

What's a "JAMIE G" is that another fromat to run on AM 1500 in Macon?

Hey! I resemble that remark about AM 1500.

Big WAYS 1500 hasn't changed formats in over two years! Heck, we've even had the same voicetracked disc-jockey for over a year (Scott Shannon).

Aside from the longtime WDEN-FM simulcast, I think that's a record, no?

Of course, if you're north of Arkwright Road or south of Hartley Bridge, you can't hear the darned thing.

But it's still the best-sounding radio station nobody's listening to.

TDO
(Big WAYS 1500 PD, or something like that)
