She was on the station "formerly known as Star" in Los Angeles. KYSR.
The troubled and psychotic Jamie White will be doing the show from Denver… even though this will be the only station she has. She'll doing all she can to make sure she visits Sacramento as little as possible. Love what “local” radio has become.

I don't know about her, but I'd rather be in Sacramento than Denver. It doesn't snow in Sacramento and Dever doesn't have an ocean within' driving distance.
She got fired at star prior to a major format adjustment. This happend after Bill Handel (of KFI) went crazy (using profanity) while busting into her control room live on the air. He went off on her because she threw his children out of the studio earlier that morning. They apparently where wandering around the Clear Channel complex that morning.
An aircheck of the incident was played on the KTLA/5 morning show. A colleage of mine refered to the incident as "Handel's Messiah". Handel was suspended for several days.
Actually in the incident with Handel, as much as it pains me to say it, she was totally in the right. She didn't throw his girls out but actually never let them in. They were outside the studio bugging the crap out of her call screener. She basically told them to go away and didn't really yell at them, she's just loud to begin with, kind of like Handel. Handel himself told them to go ask for CD's & swag and they just walked in on several morning shows that day whether the light was on or not. They were obnoxious. By the time the news got down to Handel on the fourth floor the story had changed from truth to fantasy and Bill went nuts. He was totally in the wrong and as unprofessional as it gets. But Bill is an 800 pound gorilla and gets away with murder. So he went on vacation and was suspended with pay. No skin off his nose. Jaime's firing at Star had more to do with her and her extremely fat contract. Plus she was difficult to work around, had just a big of an ego as Bill and it didn't help that she's had some scream fests with the other 800 pound KFI gorillas John & Ken over parking spaces of all things. She wore out her welcome and was over paid to boot and at Clear Channel you don't make a million bucks year unless they love you or your numbers...

No, that was Lisa Foxx. Jamie arrived in LA from Denver with former partners Frosty & Frank. CC replaced them with Danny Bonaduce. Lisa is now voice tracking for Star 101.3 in San Francisco as well as doing "live" weekends and fill-in at MyFM in Los Angeles.
That's where I heard of Jamie, from Frosty, Heidi, and Frank! (F.H.F.)
Every once in a while, F.H.F. would make a Jamie reference. Of course F.H.F. were the victims of another format flip. They were #1 in L.A. middays, and still dumped for another Top40 station.
I can only hope that Jamie will be live from Denver, and not just another Sacto voice track session.
I wish I was a gazillionaire so I could build a REAL radio station. Remember when radio was REAL? And actually included the listener.
There are some exceptions. I still enjoy listening to Dogface and Joe on 98Rock. I may not like all the music, but they do come up with some great stuff. Pat Martin is pretty good too. Sorry, I can't stomach R.A.&D. No morning zoo's for me!

It's all coming back to me now... It's true.... I used to dive for the push button after a few seconds of that show.
