Jammin 105.9

WOW!!! Has anyone in the ATX taken a listen to the new sound of Jammin 105.9? Kinda jealous that our crappy azz Jammin station doesn't sound like the one up in Austin.

Take a listen- www.jammin1059.com

You mean you don't think that hourly spins of "La Bamba" make for a good Jammin' Oldies station? ;-)

Yeh I like 105.9 better, even though I can't get it. I did like 94.1 when it first started out but then the playlist just shrank and shrank. :(

I really do like how 105.9 is sounding now they have changed some of their drops saying they play the 80's 90's and today. Still leans heavily to the R&B urban format though they do play some oldschool dance and freestyle. I would like to hear more dancy songs especially during the day.

Jammin in San Antonio is run by BMP. In Austin it is a Clear Channel station.

You might also add that Jammin 94.1-S.A. has been sliding downward for the past several months. And Jammin 105.9-Austin recently adjusted their playlist so the recent changes are still unkown.

They made those adjustments to line up more with the Kidd Kraddock morning show that they are stuck with for several years. I'll be honest, I liked them better before the changes.....

I actually think they sound alot better in my opinion I think Austin needs a rythmic station that plays 80's, 90's and today this is right in my demographic bracket and I think it should do well.

Re: Jammin 105.9-I Have Old Airchecks

I recorded Jammin 105.9 during their first week. Probably their first or second day, though I am not sure. Back then, around 1998, they were all disco, no jocks, no spots. Just a promotion between every second song or so. I have about six hours of the first week.

Send me an email if you would like a trade. I also have Jammin 106 in San Antonio from when they were all disco.

Re: Jammin 105.9-I Have Old Airchecks

For my taste, I liked their sound for the first two years. My 1999 airchecks have no jocks and no spots. Just music and promotions.
