Jammin 107.5 becomes WiLD 1075!

KXJM-FM Jammin' 107.5 has changed its branding to WiLD 1075 and adopted the slogan "Portland's Party Hits." The changes reflected the station's shift away from what had been a Hip-Hop/R&B-leaning direction to a more broader Rhythmic approach.

Any thoughts on this change?

I kind of knew Jammin' was going to die since they got rid of "The Playhouse" morning show. Plus, I don't think Portland isn't really an urban city, so thats probably why the station didn't work there. I'll stream WiLD 107.5 to see if it any good, but I don't think I would though since the DJs are not local, but still, lets see. Though, I'm thinking this station would hurt Z100...

Frrrrrresshsie royally botched up the syntax in this statement:
"Clear Channel destroyed Jammin' 107.5. They had no plan to keep it."

And so they should have. The station should have gone tango-uniform ten years ago! Now, it's time to start counting down the weeks until they flip it to something more decent, like AC.

Unfortunately, I ended up having to buy lobster for "the guys" at McCormick & Shmicks as a result, but that's a different story.

AC??? Surely you jest. It would then cannibalize CC's K103. That will NOT happen...

Actually, they may do OK with it as Wild if they make a few small adjustments to Z100. It doesn't pay any dividend to compete with yourself...
