YES. It is something that the old KTFM did a long, long time ago, thanks to those huge heritage call letters, you probably remember that too. But what promotion in radio these days isn’t a rehash of and old one with maybe a slight twist.
Let’s face it. The folks that in charge of radio now a days aren’t smart enough or just to lazy to take the time to come up with any new creative ideas. But if those old tricks still work, hey.Just sit around and spend thousands on research so you can keep doing things wrong.
What BMP should consider is taking that station they are wasting that lame Christian programming on (103.1 or 101.3) and putting KSJL and Tom Joiner back on the air in san Antonio. Even though the total black population of the city is under 100,000 it deserves to served as well. They aren't doing the Christain thing right either anyway.

You hear a lot of calls asking for free-style and 80’s , dance, 90’s and 2000 music. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out, whatever the calls are that are getting on the air will be the new format.
