Jammin' Wilmington

I understand that Sunrise wants Jammin 99.9 to be more focused on the community; that is why they moved to a new tower and decreased their signal. This is only my opinion but the new tower is a huge blunder. I have two stereos in my house; one is by a window and neither stereo picks up 99.9 anymore. I would understand if I lived outside the city but I do not. I don't want to speculate, maybe someone can help me here. In the spring of 2009 WKXB had a 10.x now one year later in the spring of 2010 they are at a 5.x I was shocked as this was the number one station in Wilmington for the longest time, what is going on at WKXB

The reason WKXB ("Jammin' 99.9") decreased their signal to 35,000 watts so that Capitol Broadcasting's sports station in Raleigh, WCMC ("99.9, The Fan") could increase their coverage at 26,500 watts, if you can't get them in
Wilmington, try listening online, or adjust your stereo system's antenna.
On another footnote, i have a feeling 99.9 will continue to stay at #1, their playlist has been tweaked a little,
adding more titles, some that haven't aired in years.

I wanted to make a post about Myrtle Beach radio but I couldn't find the answer on Wikipedia. I heard somewhere that Tom Joyner was on this station.

The reason I asked is he''s off Myrtle Beach radio and there was some speculation as to where his type of music would end up. I now know who might do it; Movin' 94.5 sounds like Jammin' 99.9.

As for WYEZ(aka "Movin' 94.5") they are not carrying Tom Joyner's morning show according to their web site, and
don't look for "Jammin 99.9" in Wilmington to pick him up anytime soon, Stanley B. is a fixture on this station.

Weird. I don't think I imagined it.

WYEZ may not be carrying him now, but they should.

Okay, I found two items online. One was a comment on a Star-News article wishing for Joyner to be on WKXB. The other was the fact that the white man named Tom Joyner used to own the station whose signal improvement led to WKXB downgrading.
