JAMN 94.5 is sounding GREAT THIS WEEKEND ( What, I said That ! )! 94.5 is playing NEW MUSIC and Classic back in the days Jamz, that I had not heard in a while. I am Loving 94.5 right now, but its to bad that 94.5 will be back to the old lame playlist after the 4th of July weekend.

I myself have been listening, as well as several of my close friends have mentioned the same thing you did, rapking. Funny how good it sounds with an actual DJ picking the music instead of some corporate #$%^ right? Why don't these companies GET THIS..

There is no way the jocks are picking their own music. That's not how commercial Radio works.

Right... and wrong. The exception to that rule is during mixshows (which is what Jamn is doing for most of the holiday weekend). M.D.'s do give the mixers a list of songs from the regular rotation that need to be played--- but also give the mix dj's some "avails" within their set(s) to play whatever they want. 8)

Rapking, I agree with you, Jamn is sounding great this weekend. 8) Much of the credit should go to DJ Pup Dawg... he is really working his @ss off at that station. 8)

Agreed, JAMN does sound great this weekend. Unfortunetely like rapking said it will be back to normal on Tuesday 12AM. Their music selection is not what kills me though (all the rhythmics around the country are playing pretty much the same songs like California Gurls and Alejandro), its the repeats. Airplanes & OMG is on every hour and 15 mins on average (sometimes in the morning its less than an hour), while Kiss has scaled back the rotations of hot songs to like 1.5-2hrs. It would be great if Jamn can do the same and at the same time throw in a variety of R&B, new songs, and old school joints. CMON PUP DAWG ;D

I know I'm going to catch crap by the grumpy old men. But could it be that the rather broad reaching urban pirates u have up there are causing Jamn to step their game up. Just saying. ;)

DJ Pup Dawg is great, I agree with you. I heard some of his mixes on "Comcast Music Choice" "MixTape" He be playing those Indian Hip Hop and Arabic Hip Hop, he's banging!!! Good stuff despite the language barrier

Jam'n actually has had it's talent in the past few years, DJ Pup Dawg is no exception, along with DJ Roy Barboza and DJ Gee Spin. All talented in what they do.

You could be on to something.
I don't listen to JAMN a lot, but today I heard Gyptian - Hold You at about 1:20pm.
I know 101.3 has been playing that song for a long time now.

Jamn's been on that song since the end of May.

Because a large number of Boston's Blacks are from the Caribbean ( Jamaica,Haiti ), it make sense for a Boston Urban/Rhythmic music stations to have dancehall music on their playlist. JAMN, Old Nash-1090 and Boston's Urban Pirate Radio knows that. Its to bad that the so called " Urban Specialist " can't understand that ( Radio One, I see Dumb People ).

Rapking, could you, if I'm not being too personal, describe a typical day in your life? You seem to listen to about two dozen different radio stations at all hours of the day and night. How do you do this?

Also, how do you not like any of them?
