Jampro WHKC FM_Inaugurates New Signal

In case anyone's interested, I ran across the following when surfing:

http://www.broadcastbuyer.tv/publis...ro_WHKC_FM_Inaugurates_New_Signal_10769.shtml

There was also something else many of you may have already seen, on the star1079 site. Namely, denial of rumor that they are involved with 91.5 no surprise there. I don't know when it was originally posted.

Finally, re the Wikipedia entry on WHKC...I don't know that I would call Chelsea's brief station i.d.'s "robotic."

91.5 sounds great today.

WHKC does sound good I feel also. It will be interesting to see what Rob chooses for the final format.

He did say in previous email that they where looking at the end of March to have a format chosen, guess only time will tell, for now I still hear 80s!

As for when it was posted, I believe it was on February 8th or 9th. The news article from the Dispatch that it links to came out on February 7th. The reason for the denial was because I was getting pounded with e-mails asking if STAR 107.9 was coming back on the air at 91.5 with new call letters and Freq. It was actually listener e-mails that alerted me to 91.5 even being on the air. Finally when the Dispatch article showed up, I posted information about it to try and slow down the rush of e-mails I was getting. Based on the web hits I'm getting from search engines, it looks as if people are looking for 91.5 to put up a web page so they can find out more about the station.

Maybe they are making a dent in market share. Just a thought,
