On the main page of radio-info, there's a story about a radio station that took a rival station to court: "Gold Coast Radio's KMLA-FM (103.7) was saying they were #1, but Lazer argued the Arbitron ratings showed KMLA was not #1. The judge agreed, and told KMLA to cease making the "#1" claim."
ABC/Pamal decided some time ago that JAMZ was NOT a hip-hop station, yet they continue to deceive the public by billing 96.3 as the "#1 hip-hop and r-and-b" when nothing could be farther from the truth. KISS is way closer to that, and they're far away from the mark! One of the deejays Pamal let go awhile back said it was difficult to play "music I love so much but be repeatedly warned about referencing listeners unless they live in suburbs like Colonie or towns like Voorheesville" - and let's not forget "our core listener" described as a "young single white woman with one child" ??!!??
There Oughta Be a Law!
