jamz sounds really good

I've been listening for about two hours now...they sound really, really good. Nice golds (some 10 years old!) and a solid current list. Add in jocks and I think both Power and Kiss have a challenger that won't leave without a fight.

I guess it's true, people love the same 30 songs crammed down their throat.

The worst part about the station is that even the imaging is HIGHLY repetitive. It's the same liner placed over slightly different effects and work parts--occasionally a mix in of the website... absolutely awful.

Worst radio station ever in phoenix!!!CBS you should be ashamed of what you did to phoenix radio!!!

Hot..Patrick.....do you have a problem with R&B music?? Why was this so bad bringing a Rythmic Station on.

last year, CBS flippedKDJM's Jammin 92.5's classic Soul for yet another Country Station in Denver when there where already 2 other country formats in Denver.
There are so many country stations all over.....so what's wrong with Rythmic or Soul or Funk music....you need diversity in Radio today.

i think Jamz....does need to mix up the playlist though, maybe add in some Dance or Mixing top-40 hits too.

give it a chance....  i think Jamz could be in between Power and Kiss

Hip hop is fine my problem is that phoenix already basically has 2 hip hop stations and does not need athird. They did a disservice to the community. At least free fm was something different!!!Can 't wait to hear rhianna 100 times a day!!!

CBS blows a big chance again! Ok so you have Power 98.3 with a very week signal on the Hip/Hop side. On the other side you have Kiss 104.7 who is more rhythmic CHR on a strong signal. They have positioned them self in the middle of both?

Here is what will happen… People who love Hip/Hop but can’t hear or don’t want to listen to it on a bad signal will turn to Jamz…But will quickly turn off because they play a lot of what KISS is playing. Hip/Hop listeners want to hear Hip/Hop not CHR. So they will turn back to Power.

On the other side people from Kiss will tune in to check the new station but once they hear a heavy Hip/Hop track they will go right back to Kiss. Leaving Jamz as the 3rd man out and in a year they will be flipping the station again….

CBS needs to learn to say what they are and take the competition out. Not try to be everything to everyone. They sould have out of the box said we are going after Power and stuck to it. They have a weak signal!

I've tuned in about half a dozen times since they flipped. Every.Single.Time they were playing "I'm a Flirt." I wouldn't say that sounds great, although at least I could understand the jock and he wasn't belittling a female caller like they do on 98.3.

They've added "...Static Free!" to their Blazin' logo, and they're occasionally playing a phone call from a "listener" who praises One-Oh-One-Five's signal and goes on to say, "I couldn't hear 98.3 in my house, but One-Oh-One-Five comes in great."

Haven't heard them making any digs at KZZP yet.

I'll assume you're kidding.

Musically the station sounds good. There was a hole to fill with this kind of format on a strong signal given the wild popularity of hip-hop, and they're doing a nice job as a Rhythmic CHR/Mainstream CHR hybrid that leans Rhythmic. Station voice is solid as well. It could be stated that Kiss made a huge mistake by not sticking with their Rhythmically-infused format once it was learned that Power was going to be off 92.3.
