Jane Robelot goes home to Greenville

The NBC affiliate in Greenville SC has hired former CBS 46 anchor Jane Robelot to work on special projects on a free lance basis. Since leaving 46 Jane has been working on a monthly Georgia Public Broadcasting education program and hosting the Atlanta based international Leading The Way ministry program. Jane will only do about 2 reports a month at new job and will keep the two jobs she got after leaving CBS 46.

Jane's new station is where her replacement Stephany Fisher came from before coming to Atlanta

Stephany Fisher came to WGCL directly from sister Meredith station KPDX 49 (then Fox) Portland. Before that she was with WYFF 4 (NBC).

Greenville is home to sister Meredith WHNS 21 (Fox), where former WGCL anchor Rich Noonan transferred in from. Also, WHNS has outsourced portions of it's news product to WGCL in the past. WYFF is owned by Hearst-Argyle.

I rememered this station myself when I used to visit a relative in Greenville, S.C. back in the mid 70's. It's call letters then was WFBC and (like WSB-TV) used to have a radio outlet (Both AM & FM) with the same call letters.
