JANET SNYDER ADDS TV TO HER ALREADY BUSY SCHEDULE

Growing Up?

So, when's 40-something Ms. Snyder going to take her mommy / working-mother act to Star, and leave the 18-34s to a younger morning show?
 
The new TV show will be up against The View and The Price Is Right. Even with replacements in those shows, they're formidable. Give WNYToday about a year. Ms. Snyder will either be out of radio, wallowing in the mediocrity of local midday TV or back in radio doing mornings on Star or Kiss. In either case, it's likely she'll be well-paid. Her maiden name is, afterall, Snyder.

Turn Down the TV Sound

I agree that she'll be wallowing in mediocrity in local TV a year from now, but I don't believe that she'll be out of radio in the meantime.

Channel 2 is looking at this program as a revenue stream, not a ratings winner. I'm sure that much of it will be pre-produced segments, and Ms. Snyder's role will be very compartmentalized. Otherwise, it could be the most annoying hour of Buffalo TV since -uh AM Buffalo.
 
That bad, ehh Rox? But Janet doesn't have anywhere near as much plastic as Linda "Stretched Smile" Pellegrino. I fear those plastic bonds are gonna snap someday, on camera and take out a co-host. Boiiiiiiinnnnnnnng!

Heh. TV is soooo cruel. Guess that's why they call it a cold medium.
 
Dont think she'll be shown the door

But certainly shown several doors ala "Lets make a deal".... Door Number 1, take one of the better morning shows in Buffalo and make the obvious switch to Star 102.5. Doubtful if she could tango w/Rob Lucas and play co-hose as she's been queen of the nest for sometime now. So changes are certainly possible.

Door Number 2, kindly be asked to leave as per Donald Walker as we are not 28 forever.

Door Number 3, 500 heads of lettuce.... ok, maybe a stretch.

And clearly a better fate than the TV success of cohost NP, who was also unceremoniously booed everytime he opened his rather annoying mouth at every Sabres home game. Plus has his brief Sat nightlife show featured at a local night club.

Glad you feel so comfortable with your own looks that you can criticize someone else's appearance. Maybe when you have a career as long as Linda's doing something...anything you minght understand. You try to stay in a visual medium for over 30 years and see what happens.

Easy does it. I was joking. I'm balding, overweight, paint houses for a living with an uncle who smokes filthy stogies and scratches his package and out of da biz by choice. I'm also content with who I am. No nips and no tucks on me, but plenty of runs, drips and many errors. You're right though, it is a visual medium and my eyesight is as good as the thousands of other Western New York viewers who know exactly what they see.

Hey....STEP OFF...I worked with Janet back in 1988...she was just starting out in radio and she was a very, very hard worker...no one gave her that spot on Kiss...she worked for it. I can assure you she work long, hard hours to get to where she is today ...something you young people need to learn and RESPECT !!!
 
She Works Hard for the Money

No one said that Janet doesn't work hard.

The Channel 2 show is unwatchable due to lack of real content, and an overabundance of meaningless blather. Rachel Ray, who used to occupy that timeslot, and who now must compete with real news at noon and the first half hour of network soaps, should sue Channel 2 for non-support.

Channel 2 should have spent the money on a real noon newscast.
