What do you think the top five will look like?

Risers? Droppers?

B-101 was obviously going to drop post-Christmas, but it's still No. 2 at 7.0. KYW back on top at 8.1.

OGL way up at 6.2.

MMR way up at 5.5.

WRNB creeping up with a very respectable 4.0, tied in share with Q-102, though RNB had less than half the cume.

WIP-FM share is up but cume is down.

Total for WIP-A-F is 3.7. Total for WPEN-A-F is 2.1.

WPHT still cumes below 400k, while WPST still cumes above 400k.

Looks like, in general, TSLs are up, because shares are up at lots of stations shere cumes were down.

Don't forget Ben dropped, and Mix rose.
MGK is waaay up, almost a full point.
Looking forward to seeing if ISX keeps rising, and the ratings for IP and PHT when the Phillies start.
Praise is also higher back to it's usual barely over 3, ISX has finally overtook RDW and PPZ, it's at it's highest ever, but the cume isn't over a mil.

Very unique TSL's, but i'm VERY surprised with how low Ben-FM is now.

WDAS-AM also isn't in the book anymore, does that mean it has no listeners through PPM?
For the lessers...
JBR dropped, no surprise there.
PST rose .1, still over 400k cume.
SJO actually gained .2, being it does cover most of the metro (poorly however) i'm not surprised it's got that.

Talkers rose, PHT, NTP, URD and KYW all up in TSL.
WSTW is up to a full point, now.

PEN and PHI continue to drag behind, suspecting an increase in PEN by March PPM.

Wired not doing so well either. One of the only music FMs to drop in rating from Holiday to January book.

And Radio One's 107.9 is mired at a low rating.

Interesting take on Ben-FM that it will be back up. OK, fine, but you can't get agencies to buy ads by saying, "this book was just a fluke, we'll be back up." There is some reason this station fluctuates more, especially for one that isn't in the top 5. Something has to be fixed there. Part of the problem may be inconsistency. Among the switches the station has made since its launch: It's jockless, then it has a three-person morning show, then those people are split up so that there are live jocks throughout the day, then two of those jocks are let go to in order to go mostly jockless again with a more music morning show. Now it appears they've been trying to work more personality into the mornings again. And have I heard DJs during midday and afternoon drive again?
Then there is the music balance: more 80s, less 80s, more 90s, less 90s. More recurrents, less recurrents.

Greater Media has done almost the same thing with every AC-ish format it's had on 95.7: They keep tweaking the on-air product, then at some point they decide it's not salvageable and they blow it up and start over. Mix, Max, Now, etc.

What does the Ben brand stand for right now? Do you expect to hear jocks? A personality driven morning show? What sets its music apart from B-101, Mix, WPST and WJBR? Can you even describe the music on Ben? Is it soft rock like B-101? Is it classic hits from the 80s and 90s?

Regarding Ben, you hear voices other than the morning show (which is still music intensive) when they're promoting or conducting a call-in contest. Some days that's more than others, but that's it.

And for what it's worth, Now wasn't on 95.7...that was a mess elsewhere.

I don't think it's enough to provoke a format change yet, maybe calls for some tweaking.

Or maybe they could put WPEN-FM on 95.7, the frequency is much stronger then 97.5 and maybe they can pull some of WIP-FM away by snagging Phillies next year.

I'm sure CBS' new contract with the Phillies is a multiyear deal so don't count on that and oh yeah how is PEN/Greater Media gonna what Phils would ask for?

WPEN could get Eagles then, Football is larger in Philly then Baseball. I know WIP is my new preset.

Right now mine are

106.1 | 1480AM | 100.7 | 95.7 | 93.3 | 94.1 (was 104.9 from Egg Harbor, which I got when I went in Delaware and Chester County.)

WPEN "could" get football, but what are the odds, really, that CBS is going to let the Eagles be pried away except at a cost that would be ruinous to someone else? (As in, slim and none.)

WDAS-AM is off the ratings again because they repeat too many songs. The listeners they got in december, like myself, are tired of the same songs every day, especially since they play songs as far back as 1949 [ I checked because i actually liked a song i heard and thought it was a 60's record! ]. With a 30 year span to choose from, the playlist needs more variety.
