A very respectable hold for WNIC, which is just behind WOMC for 2nd place. WWJ is a close third, but AM is dead, right? WCSX saw some of its listeners return from Christmas music for 4th, and The Ticket saw a full point gain to land in 5th. I'm not sure what's driving the increase in The Ticket's ratings. The Wings and Pistons are in the doldrums. I doubt the Blake Griffin trade would've driven that kind of bump. Discussion on the MSU scandal maybe?
Other music stations filled out the Top 10: WDVD, WRIF, WYCD (1.1 point jump!), WKQI and WMXD as listeners to those stations found them again once WNIC switched back to AC from Christmas. WJR saw a decent jump, but is in 12th. 105.1 held at a 3.5 share. NASH saw a gain even with WYCD's jump. 106.7's format change is a flop with a 1.4 rating. WDET must know how irrelevant it is when an out of market Public Radio station, WUOM, draws higher than it does. Time for WDET to go away.
