Cumulus stations are missing as I post this, but here are the rest of the January numbers: Dallas/Fort Worth
Eagles cume is healthy. People WANT to like it, and they keep going back to see if they got their sh*t together.
There is ZERO TSL because the music is awful. The fix is so easy, and it's wildly frustrating watching it sit there with 1.5 share.
Jesus Christ.
I mean, I get why he's frustrated even more than someone on your side of the equation. You may dislike it because it's not The Eagle you once enjoyed as a younger man and wish it'd return to the sounds of its heyday. Kramer actually put his time, body and soul in to that brand, station, and heritage for a good number of years during his career. Here we go again. You don't like the Eagle. We don't like the Eagle. We get it.
I completely understand how you feel. I know it’s been explained before, but KEGL basically just lets KVIL walk all over them. The rock listeners don’t want to listen to KVIL, but KVIL gives away the concert tickets, they play artists that should be core KEGL artists more than KEGL does, they make sure to emphasize the “ROCK” part of their “DFW’s Alternative Rock” branding, and so on. The Eagle listeners don’t trust KVIL but they’re being given no choice because the state of KEGL’s programming is so bad.Eagles cume is healthy. Not in this case, Bill. Chip is right on the money with iHeart mentioning Dallas in front of Fort Worth at the top of the hour. Not so on 102.1, where it is correctly IDed as Fort Worth - Dallas. They likely did the Legal ID within the commercial break. A station in a city I worked ID'ed legally in the last break of the hour (licensed to a suburban town) but on the hour the jock said, as an example, your favorite classic hits are on KXXX-FM, Houston.
