Seems there are folks running around claiming to be new owners of KTXJ FM and its AM...but funny thing, the FCC doesnt have anything on file about a transfer of control OR any application for such...Seems the new "Owners" are dealing with someone who loaned the current owner money...and the current owner is lax in paying back on the loan SO the loaner is trying to act like he/they own the station and the new "Owners" are dealing with him....which is not legal under the rules. (of course, if the current owner files for bankruptcy, the loaner could possibly claim the station then....just like Ross Perot did with KWIC after ex Gov Mark White filed for bankruptcy......but that was a slightly different situation)...either way, the new "Owners' seem to be jumping the gun (or outright lying) when they say they OWN the station.....(and their former employers has something to say about their leaving there as well...but I'll leave that to the former employers to say ;)I bet if the FCC pulls a surprise inspection, they will have something to say to the REAL owner.....ooops!
