The Larz board is reporting that Java was seen at the offices of Clear Channel meeting with acting PD, Steve Perun. If this is true, that would be a big win for Kiss (and for Java). I would think a move like this (in addition to the other changes: Smasher out, Tic Tak back in, the return of Coco etc) could officially put Kiss over the top.I was very happy to read this. Any insiders know what's happening over there?

Where would they put Java. They can't just fire Mack At Night.
If Mack @ Night is VT'd from another market, I believe Mack could be pulled off the air in Chicago at anytime since he might not be employed at CC Chicago. Java Joel was great on Kiss FM and it would be great if he could return. For now, I'm glad he's on the air again in the Chicago area, even if it's nowhere near what he was doing on Kiss FM. If Java Joel stays at Nine FM, I would hope he eventually gets a weekday slot. I was at the remote at Movie Gallery yesterday (4/29) and told Matt Dubiel that I thought Java Joel did a better job filling in for Johnny Marrs than Johnny Marrs working the same afternoon slot he works now. Supposedly he was going to WYUL, which is in upstate New York and masquerades as a Montreal station to get around the CanCon regulations. According to their website http://www.947hits.com/en/people_e.html, he's there now.
