Jax Radio Station Starts "Patrick Swayze Is Dead" Rumor

The actor, currently battling pancreatic cancer - the least curable form of the disease - Patrick Swayze is still alive, contrary to rumors attributed only to "a Jacksonville radio station." Sources say the original report stemmed from "a radio news segment on KISS FM". Which could very well imply that the origin of the erroneous news emanated from WFKS/97.9 Kiss-FM. Yet sources did not fully cite that it was WFKS. In fact, the source below notes "two Jacksonville-area radio stations bear those call letters."

I guess this goes to show just how many listeners WFKS really has!

TWO radio stations have WHAT call letters? They don't mention any until after... and even then it's WKIS, a COUNTRY station in South Florida. It's pretty clear whoever wrote the article didn't research too well. If it did INDEED happen on WFKS in the morning, it probably would have been The MJ Morning Show.

I doubt he would go on the air with something like that. The whole thing sounds like a load of crap to me.

Pretty funny how these "reporters" for these news networks, etc. don't understand radio... at all.
