JAY BUTLER BACK IN RALEIGH

According to "All Access" Jay Butler is back in Raleigh working
at the new Capitol Broadcasting station (WCMC). He will be doing
a Saturday night request show from seven to twelve starting this
Saturday night. This could be VERY interesting going up against
the station he used to work for...I guess MORE TO COME EH?

In listening Saturday night it wasn't "VERY interesting" at all. It was kind of sad. No personality and no callers. Carolina v. Duke didn't help Jay's debut either. Poor guy never had a chance to be a part of WQDR when it finally hit big.

Why don't they put him on in Mornings?

Jay helped build WQDR into a country leader. Worked at KIX with Joe Wade before moving to the FM. Don't be surprized to hear more of JayBo!

I had a chance to listen to him online the other night for a
couple of hours and he sounded smooth.... he was averaging about
8 to nine requests an hour and most of the people who called
in welcomed him back and said they were glad to hear him back
on the radio...I will be surprised if he's not doing mornings
there in the next couple of weeks...it seems like a waste of
talent to keep him on a saturday night shift ONLY!
