Cutler will Appear as a pundit for NFL games on Fox Sports.

A month after former Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo was announced as the lead NFL game analyst for CBS Sports, former Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler has been added to the Fox Sports roster.

Cutler will sit alongside play-by-announcer Kevin Burkhardt, analyst Charles Davis and sideline reporter Pam Oliver for next season’s games.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jay to the FOX Sports family,” said John Entz, president of production for Fox Sports. “We’re very excited about the potential he brings to the booth and are looking forward to hearing his analysis during what is sure to be another great season of the NFL on FOX.”

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo first reported Cutler's interest in leaving football for the broadcasting booth and added that Cutler would still be interested in playing if the opportunity to be the unquestioned starter came around. The former first-round pick is just 34.

Somehow I think he'll be in the broadcast booth for a long time. Let's just hope he's a smarter broadcaster than he was a QB.

Jay's pressers were never that interesting I hope he is good at broadcasting will miss him being QB of Bears since he always liked to throw to Lions DB's.

A Packers fan told me today that he's very sad to hear of the retirement of Green Bay's 4th-greatest QB (after Starr, Favre, and Rodgers, of course). :D
