Great News!

Kiss Fm finally has someone who knows what he is doing.

JerseyDude:

This will be interesting...Should Kiss tie with WBLS in NY, we will see a major radio war that happened in the 80s and 90s.

Don't forget Hot 97 and Power 105.1 are still at each other's throats in the ratings.

they should be able to afford to stream now. 8)

Keep Michael Baisden

I agree Git rid of Tom Joyner Move Ed Lover there.

Get rid of Ed Lover and all of the Hip-Hip DJs (Cocoa Chanelle and the hooded out overnight personality, Lil' Nat). Kiss FM isn't a Hip-Hop station.

How are Michael Baisden's ratings? (http://www.examiner.com/ny-in-new-york/july-ppm-s). I thinks it's almost time for Michael Baisden to go. I understand Anita Baker and Luther Vandross are core Urban AC artists, but let's stick a little variety between those 2 million Anita and Luther songs. Also, what about becoming a little more contemporary like WBLS and WHUR/Washington,DC. Im talking about newer songs from Musiq Soulchild,Anthony David,Kindred the Family Soul, and Mint Condition. Kiss should the keep pop bullcrap (the new Kelly Rowland and Beyonce songs) that WBLS sometimes plays out of the mix. Kiss should also add a few vocal heavy House songs since R&B based House Music has a big following in the New York Metro area.

Do you think it would be wise for WBLS to get rid of the hip hop and caribbean music on its station? HELL NO!! WRKS and WBLS may be Urban AC stations, but that won't stop them from playing old school hip hop, underground house, and some caribbean music.

Does that answer your question?

The New York metro has a large Caribbean community. The Reggae shows show stay. The New York Metro has a big Black Underground House scene. Those shows should also stay.

WBLS and WRKS are focusing on Black WOMEN in their 30s and 40s. Do you really think they like Rap music? What do the ratings say about that? Kiss FM is about number 16th in the ratings.Where is Kiss FM 25-54?(http://www.examiner.com/ny-in-new-york/july-ppm-s

A little birdy told me you are gonna start hearing less Hip-Hop on Kiss FM within the next few weeks.

The only time Kiss ever plays hip-hop is on their Saturday night show. I never liked that show anyway.
