Jay Harren out

Jay Harren Exits 99X; More Layoffs As Susquehanna Becomes CumulusMore cutbacks as SUSQUEHANNA changes hands to CUMULUS, as longtime Alternative WNNX (99X)/ATLANTA MD JAY HARREN exits. HARREN told ALL ACCESS, "After almost nine years of working for the legendary 99X, and even more legendary LESLIE FRAM, I have fallen victim to corporate cutbacks, and effective immediately I am no longer employed here. Without a doubt, LESLIE FRAM is the most talented, creative, and innovative programmers in the country. In addition, she is not afraid to take risks. She took one on me. "A long time ago, LESLIE spotted a guy who has a passion for music and empowered him with the ability to take that passion and turn it into a career. No one in the industry is more fortunate and blessed than me. To have had the privilege to work so closely with an industry legend is more than I could have ever hoped for. She is a true leader, an amazing mentor, and a great friend. Thank you LESLIE."

Wow! Your release to the industry after being laid off is 2 paragraphs kissing the ring!? I feel bad for everyone who lost their job, but I am embarrased for jay reading that. I mean give her a sentence, and start building a case for your next gig. So framm is "the most talented, creative, and innovative programmers in the country"!?!? I think there are mounds of evidence to the contrary right now. Maybe we've identified the problem, a little too much huffing their own glue and drinking the framm cool-aid. Sorry about the gig, but it is time to grow your own coat-tails buddy. This kinda sucking up is just sad.
