On last nights (2/21) special Olympic edition of the "Tonight Show", Jay Leno was bleeped out by NBC censors. But the reason appears to not be bad language or sexual inuendo, but rather to save grief for the operator of a 1-800 phone number.
Jay was talking about someone with the Social Security administration refering people to the 1-800-MEDICARE phone number for something to do with Medicare. Jay then joked that people should call 1-800-YOUR-*******. The stars represent where the bleep came in. He repeated the "number" again and that was also bleeped out.
Given a couple of high-profile incidents a few years ago involving movies featuring fake phone numbers that were real, NBC probably did not want to risk a lawsuit from whomever had the number involved. Unfortunantly, a few bad pranksters calling such featured numbers ruin it for everyone who likes these kind of jokes.
