Jay Leno Show debuts with a Hugh Grant moment

Start at 4PM huh? Maybe for the mondays to thursdays episodes of The Jay Leno Show. I've been to New York City at during early fall and it is dusk around 7PM EST not night time. I think the Jay Leno Show will not last long.

How far into the show was the remote segment from NYC?

Last Friday's NYC sunset was at 6:59 PM EDT.

Leno tapes at 4 PM his time which is 7 PM West Coast. I know this because I have tickets to the new show that say Show time 4:00 PM.

He tapes in Burbank which is on the west coast, so a 4PM taping his time would be 4 PM West Coast, although 4PM does qualify for being 7PM East Coast!

I just watched the first episode of week #2, and while there were a couple of LOL moments, it really is the same 'ole same 'ole. Heavy pre-recorded bits, lots of lulls, and well, nothing that compelling IMO. I predict there will be substantial format tweaks in the coming weeks. (And Barney Frank as a featured skit? Questionable humor, only partially funny IMO)
