Jay Leno's Tonight Show ver 2.0

Does NBC celebrate a Jay Leno one year anniversary? Or do they ignore his break from 'Tonight' and continue to celebrate his (ump)teenth year in late night? How will they calculate his tenure at the Tonight Show? With an asterick?
 
My guess is the whole "anniversary" thing will take a break for a few years, perhaps with the exception of Letterman. Even David may realize the unimportance and silliness of it all. The Carson anniversary shows actually meant something because he earned it.
