I try not to attack other posters, but a radio talk show host is fair
game, isn't he/she? We can say whether or not we like the way they do
their show, or perhaps debate their opinions on the issues. In doing so
we may do like many talk hosts do and make up funny names for people
in radio or politics. Harry Reid becomes Dingy Harry according to Rush.
John Kerry is Liveshot according to Howie. By the same token, Rush has
been called "Flush" and Howie's been called a bunch of names ("I like
to call him Coward Ha-Ha," said one caller to _another show_ awhile back.)

Well, some like him and some don't. Infinity feels there are enough
best-and-brightest out there to support a national show. People
criticize hosts like Hannity but he has tens of millions of listeners
and makes ABC lots of money. If Jay gets a huge amount of listeners
on this new show, then hey, fine with me, and if Al Franken winds
up getting as many as Hannity, good for him. It doesn't necessarily
mean I'll be among Al's listeners, though. And maybe I'll give Jay's
show a chance but what he's done before personally doesn't float
MY boat. It may be attractive to others, though.
I took a quick scan of the rules. Yes, I know the folks here want to
prevent any lawsuits, major disagreements, scandals, false accusations,
and so on. The rules are quite extensive for that reason, I'm
guessing, but I still am kinda unclear on whether it's OK to
poke fun of a _media figure_ with a funny name, or whether that's
off limits. I'm guessing it means "don't attack other posters".
We can attack their opinions, right? But going beyond that into
personal ad hominem attacks is flaming, and rightfully should be
squashed.
