Jay Severin's Pride's Crossing Is Showing. Oops!

Jay Severin just let it slip. He is broadcasting not from WTKK's studio on Morrissey Blvd. in beautiful downtown Dorchester but from is plush and overly ostentatious manse in Pride's Crossing.

Jay just said he was looking out his window as he is on the air and looking out to Marblehead Harbor. Can't do that on Morrissey Blvd. Best view you have is of the side of the Boston Globe building.

He didn't necessarily say he'd be broadcasting from the GM studios or from Boston, merely that he'd be LIVING in the Boston AREA...which is what he'll say if asked about it

because I now listen to Eagen & Braude that jerk is on by default when I get into the car; I immediately change the station - he is just so very very A W F U L.

Has it really come down to this? Severino is terrible radio.

So what, he's admitted on the air several times that he's having a home studio built. I guess it's completed.

But funny nonetheless that he's owning up to living in MA. Where was he since 2001? (rhetorical ?)

No more than a score of people could possibly care where.

No, the actual view out of the on air studio is the back of the Shaws/Star Market on Morrissey. Same for all of the GM studios except 'ROR, which has an additional view of the Southeast expressway. The view from the other side of the build is the Channel 56 building (which btw is very bleak nowadays).

so what??

With the technology that's out there, it doesn't matter where a program originates from.
I have never listened to him, so I really don't care either way...

Pat Whitley used to do his show from his N. Andover home; Brudnoy, during his illness, did it from his
apartment. Severin of course from a "barn" behind his Sag Harbor home. Rush from "the southern
command" in Florida.

Jay's house is actually in Manchester-by-the-Money, on Highland Ave. (just off Rt 127 near the Beverly
line). The part of Beverly he's nearest to is Beverly Farms not Prides Crossing, though PC is not far
from there. (Both Beverly Farms/same 01915 zip as Beverly and Prides Crossing, 01965, have their
own post offices.)

STALKER! ;)

Er, actually once it was revealed where Jay lived, I got kind of curious so I cruised down Hale St. and into Manchester-b-t-s and found Highland Ave. I drove up the street but wasn't sure what house it was; it was an uphill, narrow street. I made a three point turn and headed back. It's supposed to be a fairly expensive house
but most of the houses there didn't seem too big/expansive...from what I could see.

...and then I started going through the garbage cans in front of the houses untill I found one filled with Japenese Travel Brochures and Lubaderm...
