A friend of mine that works at CBS just called and told me to log onto All Access. I was stunned to read the news about Jay. One website is reporting that the position is COO.

ALL ACCESS confirms that CBS Top 40/Rhythmic WPGC/WASHINGTON VP/Programming JAY STEVENS has left company after more than two decades. Word is that STEVENS has accepted a top level executive position with crosstown competitor RADIO ONE.

Big mistake ! Uncle Radio One is Only a good Company in Washington D.C. That It ! Radio One Boston and Los Angelas is a total mess .

I agree with you there. Unfortunatly they will have Jay Stevens try to fix the LA problem, once again using Washington DC techniques.

He's a great guy, don't get me wrong, but LA is different and will always be.

Very true. It will be interesting to see what Jay does. He is a good programmer but he also had the added bonus of deep pockets over there with CBS Radio. Radio 1 doesn't have deep pockets like that. Wish Jay the best though.
