Jazz on 550

I'm hearing some straight ahead jazz, playing underneath WGR & WKRC on 550. Any clues to what I'm picking up?

I'm located south of Ottawa, Ontario and have been hearing it since tuning in at about 6:30 PM EST. I'm still hearing it 2 hours latter...

Jazz or Motown? I'm hearing Motown music right now on 550 under WKRC. I'll try and stick with it for an ID... Hearing Sam & Dave's "Hold On" right now

Could be what you heard? If so then it's not the music I heard. But, I did log a new station on 550 - KFYR Bismark, ND. "K Fire" with a clear ID and local weather. This could have been what I heard earlier with the oldies Motown music (also heard a song by the Monkeys later).

Straight ahead jazz, kilokat. Although I'm not hearing it at the moment...just now, I had some of that Motown you're talking about. If you can ID it, we can perhaps track back through a schedule on-line, to see if it's the same station.

EDIT: WDEV would probably be it...and probably why (being past 9pm) I'm not hearing the jazz anymore...must investigate!

POST EDIT: Waterbury, VT...listed as sport/talk on my data base, which is probably why I couldn't track that jazz down. Good detective work there, kilokat.
