A lot of people who listen to Smooth Jazz do listen to straight ahead jazz also. There is just so little radio audience for it that these boards don't have a spot for it to be talked about. They're not hiding. I love it and listen to it every day. Unfortunately the area where I live in is about to lose it's traditional jazz station because so few people listen to it (about 12-15% of the Smooth Jazz's audience size). God bless satellite radio...I'll be getting Sirius in a few weeks.

In fact, this is an interesting point. How many people who frequent this specific board are also into traditional jazz? Please answer and comment. Thanks!
