JB and Sandy, KEYE part ways

Not surprised. Bad idea to begin with, as I told the KEYE GM in an email when it started. She said she didn't want to have to compete with the other local morning news programs. OK, what's next? Re-runs of the Three Stoodges?
it was by far the lowest rated thing on morning TV. but they werent paying much to put it on.
what amazes me is that JB and Sandy wanted to be paid for providing a 0.7 share in morning TV.

KEYE's last attempt at morning news frequently did hashmarks, even with well-known anchors Fred and Michelle ... so a .7 looked pretty darn good to them, esp. since the cost to air JB and Sandy was so low. The new newscast will cost more and get lower ratings, guaranteed ... esp. with an unknown anchor. When it comes to local news, KEYE just isn't a player in this market.

Good Day Austin On FOX 7 starting at 4:30 AM made a dent in JB and Sandy's program. Why wait for JB when I could get the scoop as early as 4:30 AM?
KEYE is a terrible CBS affiliate, and KTBC is a terrible Fox affiliate. The two should switch back to their old affiliations.
