JBR the salvation

JBR is sounding great, close to Sunny, finally someone doing it right. Does anyone know if they sounded this good last year, they have the exact same playlist as Sunny did, but some tunes are even deeper, so far, hope they don't stray. Mike Bowe keeps saying the "all new" JBR, is anything in the works after the holiday.

The station has been using "All new" for a while now, even before the Beasleys took over.

It's a shame I can't get the station at the house; Mike Bowe is one of my favorite jocks. (It's also a shame the station went outside the company to fill a recent full-time opening, assuming of course Mike was available and/or willing to take the gig.)

To some of the younger guys here who may not know who Mike is, without question you've heard (and will recognize) his voice!

I believe this is the first time JBR has gone 24/7 Holly Jolly well before the Christmas Holiday. They would go all Christmas at night with Delilah but would be playing regular music with Christmas tunes sprinkled in well into December during the workday. This is a smart move as it all but guarantees they'll win the Wilmington ratings in the fall.

I have been following WJBR since they have run the 36 hour Christmas Festival of Music as Bright 99.5 way back in the mid 80's and I've taped them ever since each Christmas. I'm glad they are an alternative to B101.1 and hopefully they will have the previous variety of songs like they did in the 36 hour shows. I must admit I hope they play Vince Gill's Let There Be Peace on Earth and John Tesh's We Fall Down which Sunny played but I never heard on the Bee. I get JBR fine here in Delaware County, but their on-line feed is great to have too.
