Yes, they did take way too long to get me off their website....about three weeks, in fact.

I'm not in Delaware, simpleton. I'm doing Afternoon Drive for Dan Arthur,(who joined the US Army Reserve), at KOOL 93.1, and oh by the way, Fill-in Mid-Mornings at 630-WMAL, the ABC O&O Talker in Washington, DC.

At least for the next week, try not to be a flaming moron, will you?

(You know....A thread I was a part of that discussed real radio issues got deleted by Safford because it got too heavy. This ignoramus is allowed to out and out slander me behind an alias, and is allowed to do so unchallenged? C'mon man...what's the policy, and are you going to enforce it?)

After reading just about every post that this tool has posted, I think he's got quite the hard-on for you JD. (How's that for stating the obvious)

Perhaps a little crush on you is a possibility as well? Maybe this anonymous fellow is such because he's....um....let's say a bit effeminate? Do you recall anyone in your career that maybe made advances towards you that you weren't recognizing? Just food for thought. Anyhow, how are ya?!

Let's see how fast this post gets pulled.

You know, there have been several people on this board with differing opinions from mine. By and large, the debate has been spirited, well-reasoned, and well-met, whether everything said was flattering or not.

Except of course, for drtylawndre. Seems to me that his only contribution here is hatemail.

(Otherwise, things are really, really good. How's life in the land of sippin' whiskey?)

I see you had time to come back from your trailer hitch cleaning competition to make a comment. He's not a public figure moron, he's a private citizen on the radio. He wasn't elected.

And you're suggesting that I'm Mrs. Wells? That's funny....man....I....I just don't think I can stop giggling like a little girl. That's a good one. Ya got me there! I can see why you're so successful in your field. You're just oozing with originality! That's good. Where do you come up with this stuff?? Funny. Very funny. Wow.

Here I go again with uncontrollable laughter! I can't stop! Ever have that happen? You finish laughing....then you stop....then the initial thought that started the laughing makes you laugh ALL OVER AGAIN! That's good. Ooohh...my ab workout is now DONE thanks to you. I see nothing but stand-up comedy circuit written all over your future my friend.

Regardless of a lawsuit or not, you are slandering me. (Actually, it's libel, because it's published writing.) Fgilly is right, I am a private citizen, and as such, you don't have the protection you think you do.

But really, the hard truth is what you're doing is not just illegal....It's just plain wrong.

What you really need to be aware of it that I'm a phone call or two away from finding out your personal contact information. And frankly, were it not for the good sense of a moderator on this wesite, you would have discovered already just how fragile your semi-literate alias is.

You're making a really expensive error in judgement.

Look, I don't care if you disagree. If you think I'm wrong, say so. Then state your facts, and more importantly your principles. That's what I do. Honestly, and above board...signing my real name afterward.

If you can't do that....back off. Now.

Re: jd- on air -said host was drunk

a public fiqure does not have to be elected...also it was John David Wells who said on the radio that a female host on another station came into work drunk and slurred her speech...and that she drank while she was on the air.

...of course even that may not be slander....

Re: jd

And yes, a public figure IS elected. JD does have the right to sue your sorry ass for libel. Being that he is a fairly well-known on air personality, it makes him the target of people's opinions. Now if he were to go after anyone who wrote or said anything bad about him, it would not only be expensive but it would also state the fact publicly that he's unable to take the heat. Thus, suing isn't a smart career move.

Just keep that in mind should he decide to get a job at Home Depot.

Maybe you ought not get your legal advice from the lawyers you see advertising on TV.

Why yes....yes I do. Thanks F!

Fairly?!?....

"Now if he were to go after anyone who wrote or said anything bad about him, it would not only be expensive..."---Fgilly

What exactly are you trying to say there F, huh?

Dirt, you moron. (My personal opinion,BTW)...I never said she came to work drunk. She got drunk on the air as a publicity stunt for "Stop DUI". People were SUPPOSED to talk about that.

Re: jd

Hey man, I'm just trying to help put all this JD Wells stuff to bed before Radio-info turns the Nevada page the JD Wells page! You get enough attention as it is!

The point is, I understand and respect your decisions as a broadcaster....sure some of them may be a bit boneheaded at times, but I certainly DO NOT think that you are as much of a buffoon as certain people here paint you to be. I have always thought of you having one of the most stand-up human characters I've ever been graced to befriend. You boldly stand up for what you believe despite the repercussions. I agree with just about every opinion you have, but I admit that I surely didn't have the balls to speak out about them! I needed my job then as you did too. You were just willing to make the sacrifice and at least you can go to your grave a little more sure that you stood up for the right thing despite the consequences. Another man who did that? JESUS!

Okay, so that connection's a bit of a strech! I never was good with that stuff.

Anyway, we are now witnessing what happens to radio when it's slammed with corporate muckety-muck. When I worked for Infinity, they we're pretty good about letting their stations be as autonomous as possible. It seemed that what CC was doing, Infinity (in a lot of respects) did the opposite. But at the same time, they still perpetuate the cannabalizing corporate bottom line thinking. I'll go as far as predicting the potential of tremendous job turnover for the production staff throughout Infinity nationwide. The reason? WESTWOOD ONE's and MONSTER.COM! Hallelujah. Perhaps the new incoming staff will be paid according to Las Vegas' latest arb ranking. Mmmmmmm.......NAAHHHHHH!

So just watchout for the little guys. The locally owned, non-public companies that could give the big guys a run for their money if they get their sh** together. They have in Nashville. Alas, David may indeed slay Goliath in the long run.
