Jeff and Jer on My94-1 website

This should be no suprise to anyone, but My94.1 is now promoting the comming of Jeff and Jer on thier newly restructured web site.

I do think that this is the first time that radio stations have been so forthcomming about Jeff and Jer. I don't even remember Star promoting Jeff and Jer before they left Q106. Than again, that was still a hostile period, so that too may be another of my fuzzy memories.

It might surprise SDRadio...........

What Morning Show duo was reportedly spotted jacking around breaking bread with a certain terrestrial sphere General Manager this week?

Yes, Jeff & Jer were having lunch with their former boss. I asked them; and that's all it was: a nice social lunch. (Try the soup, it's good.)

............. because, he asked them; and that's all it was.

You know this makes me very angry because my post had nothing to do with SDRadio.com. Where do you get off using one of my posts to flame someone, huh?

Chris checked his sources, and reported whatever he was able to confirm, which wasn't much. And in his defence, he didn't report that they would go to KPLN, like some other newsrag did.

What would you have said if Chris reported that they were talking to Bob Bolinger back when he was at Infinity, and nothing happened? It was a complicated issue, because Bob knew he might be going to CC, but it wasn't a done deal. So Chris could not say "yeah, Jeff and Jer are gonig to..." After after all, waht would he say? "They're giong to My or 933?" No way to confirm that and it would have hurt the deal for Bolinger. And he couldn't say they were going to 103.7 because, well, they weren't.

I'd challenge anyone to find a better way of reporting a story like that. Chris is a pro, and if getting it right means not saying anything all, then deal with it!

Pro means professional, or performed by persons receiving pay.

If you're not paid to do something, you're an amateur.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Who's The Amateur?

I paid Chris. He takes PayPal. Guess he's a pro then. He has worked in local media for many years, establishing relationships and trust that have given him the kind of rapport that deserves a little more love than the stuff you're dishing out.

Chris was commenting on the J&J/BB lunch topic as a member of this forum.
There was never any story reported at SDRadio.net regarding the lunch.
I'm not the one who brought up credentials in this thread.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
However, to suggest that a voluntary contribution to supplement server expenses is commensurate with professional compensation, is quite a stretch.
