Jeff Bezos wants Amazon to be the next HBO, Showtime

I support him in creating hardware like the Fire, Kindle, and Echo. But the profit margin here isn't as good as his other ideas.

this belong in the Internet TV section.

plus back on point, i don't blame him on trying to make Amazon Prime the next HBO, but's hard to do when HBO's been around for decades while Amazon has been only a media company for a short while.

I know Amazon is serious about entering the video on demand business because a week or so ago I tried to order an '80's movie. I figured it would direct me to DVD's. Nope. It put a video on my account that I could access for either 24 hours, or longer, and the cost would be determined by the time frame. I had to go through hoops to cancel the order, but eventually they took care of me. Now, I always search DVD's before a search for title.
