Jeff Katz Super Bowl Bet

Apparently cheesesteaks (Pat's vs Geno's in Philly) carry over into NJ?
Meanwhile NJ gov Chris Christie is urging them to have the Giants, should they win, hold their
victory parade in NJ as they play home games there

>>Cheesesteaks were invented in South Philadelphia in the 1930's at Pat's Steaks, located in the heart of South Philadelphia, hence the addition of "Philly" to the name.

So if the Pats win , FATZ is going get set a supply of cheesesteaks.......has anyone seen this guy....????

The last thing this radio wanna-be needs is a cheesesteak....why doens't he focus on how to possibly get his ratings
to show up in the books than filling his stomach ???

No talent loser !

Go PATS !!! I am waiting to hear about the "stomach ache heard around the world"

I remember you from before. You have a problem with him (or maybe you're just kidding around).
He's still on the air, though, and does fill ins for some national shows like Todd Schnitt.

How is your show doing?

Well, if I remember correctly from his 4 1/2 second stint here, he had to make it known every other sentence that he is from Philly and he was a big bad cop.

So that's probably where the cheesesteaks come in, and he's probalby just making the bet because it's the Pats in the Big Game, and he just wants to have some sort of connection to it since he was here for those 4 1/2 seconds

I suspect (like Arizona Senator John Kyl and quondam fake-presidential-candidate-to-get-higher-speaking-fees-and-Fox-"news"-TV-show Herman Can I have no real knowledge to back up my assertion) that CCU decided to put SOMEBODY LOCAL on-the-air on AM 1200, at least in morning drive, and they are thus keeping Jeff Putz in place for the duration, the duration being until after the election. If there's somebody out there who actually DOES listen to his show, maybe you could confirm my observation that he brings on guest after guest because the ratings are so low he can't count on getting calls. That may be why Rasmussen was on his show in the first place.

Lots of (south) Jersey folks cheer for Philly area teams; the Giants (and Jets) would probably attract
Jerseyans from the area closer to NYC. If anything the Giants are rivals to the Eagles, and Katz
would have extra incentive to root for the Pats. It would be like asking a Red Sox fan if they were
cheering for the Yankees in the world series.

kind of funny that folks are jumping on jeff katz for the cheese steak part of the bet...that was what scott rasmussen bet...jeff bet chowder and is betting on the pats

He's on various stations across the country. For awhile when Jay Severin was going through some
"problems" on WTKK, they substituted Schnitt in that slot. Schnitt is out of Tampa and for awhile
was moonlighting as a morning DJ under another name. The show is carried on an XM channel,
Extreme Talk. It's syndicated to about 50 stations (WZAN 970 Portland runs it on delay*) by Compass Media

>>Schnitt describes himself as a “fiercely independent conservative with libertarian influence.” The show consists of news, political commentary, lifestyle and pop-culture with sound bites and parody material.

*---comes in on the North Shore mostly by day; I noticed at night you could get it in Rockport, etc.
