Jeff Katz - WBT Congratulations!

Congrats to WBT Jeff Katz being name to the Top 100 Most Influential hosts in Talkers Magazine (#93 Nationwide). Also making the Top 250 is WBT's John Hancock, Keith Larson, Al Gardner & Stacy Simms. Consider yourself fortunate that you have such a quality product in your market.

Jeff was a hellraiser here in Atlantic City on WFPG, and exposed a lot of crap in government that really festered and needed cleaning. It also forced pressure from local politicos to fire him repeatedly. Glad he survived. Now, I wonder how much salary he spends on Gracian Formula to keep his hair that dark?

How does one get on this list. I have watched it for years, but never saw the criteria, nor procedure. Is there a panel that listens to all these shows?

Also on the same list, Allan Handelman and Brad and Britt from WZTK. That is pretty cool considering the radio station didn't even exist five years ago. I also like Brian Freeman on WSJS but don't think he made the list this year.

Brian is doing a nice job filling some big shoes left when Glenn retired. I have always been suspect of the Talker's Magazine list.

Not intending to take anything away from those on it - but just to say the are a lot of good, local hosts who never make the list - primarily because they are busy promoting themselves to their listeners rather than the industry!
